PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING IQAMA FOR NEWBORN BABY

How to Get Iqama for a New Born Baby

 

**If the baby born in KSA


1- Get the birth statement from the hospital where your child is born

2- Get the Birth/Death registration department Appointment from MOI Website
(you will get an appointment after 3-4 weeks)


3- Submit birth statement along with father’s and mother’s Iqama and
passport copies. They will issue a birth certificate in Arabic
4- Get Passport from your Embassy
5- Pay dependent levy (From the date of birth up to father’s iqama expiry date)

6-Get Jawazat Appointment from Absher

7- Go to Jawazat fill up Iqama issue form with a photo. Submit it along with
following documents

  • Father Iqama Original and Copies
  • Mother Iqama and Passport both original and copies
  • Baby Passport and its copy
  • Original and a copy of Birth Certificate issued by MOH
  • Copy of Appointment Print-out

Once submitted, they will issue Iqama within few minutes.


** If the baby born outside KSA

1- Once the baby arrived in the KSA, deposit the fee of 2000 SAR on your Iqama number. If you delayed taking iqama, you may require the additional amount of 500 SAR as the penalty

2-Get Jawazat Appointment from Absher

3- Fill-up iqama issue form with photo, attach a copy of polio immunization certificate which you got from the hospital at the time of birth.

4- Submit it along with following documents

  • Father Iqama Original and Copies
  • Mother Iqama and Passport both original and copies
  • Baby Passport and its copy
  • Copy of Appointment Print-out

Once submitted, they will issue Iqama within few minutes.
